Fayetteville, NC – On Thursday, November 1, 2018, at approximately 9:29 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 1700 block of Michelle Court in reference to a report of a subject suffering from a gunshot wound.
The preliminary investigation revealed a subject called the Fayetteville 911 Communications Center and stated someone in the apartment had been shot. When Fayetteville Police Department Officers arrived on scene they located a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound inside the apartment.
The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in critical condition.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are currently investigating the shooting and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
The name of the victim is currently being withheld until her immediate family can be notified.
