The first baby of 2016 was born on Saturday at Cape Fear Valley-Bladen County Hospital in Elizabethtown.
Ayden Jah’Mir Lacewell was born on Saturday, Jan. 2, at 8:34 p.m. He weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 20 inches in length.
His parents are Tanashia Douglas of Bladenboro and Dre’Shaun Lacewell of Council. His maternal grandparents are Marvin and Melissa Lacewell and his paternal grandmother is Charlene Montgomery and his paternal grandfather is Darren Lacewell.
“Everyone at Bladen County Hospital has been great,” said Douglas.
The family was presented with a gift basket from Bladen Healthcare with lots of goodies from Walmart of Elizabethtown, Bladen County Hospital Gift Shop and Toddler’s and Teens.
