ELIZABETHTOWN – Bladen County Recreation began what is believed to be the first youth volleyball season ever offered in the county Monday night when 4 youth games were played at Recreation’s King Street Gym.
Program Coordinator Morgan King shared that 92 kids are participating in two youth leagues. The 9-11 league has 5 teams participating, while the 12-14 league consists of 4 teams. “There were a lot of parents wanting a youth volleyball program, and this should really help the middle schools,” said King.
