DUNN — Glenda Bullington Owen joined her late husband of 51 years Jerry O Owen in the early morning hours of February 14th. Fitting that the two were reunited in Heaven on the National Holiday for celebrating LOVE and HAPPINESS. Glenda passed peacefully with her beloved Son at bedside.
The second of 5 children born “12min’s” behind her twin sister May 29th, 1947 to Naomi Bullington and the late JP Bullington in Cumberland County. Glenda may have been tiny in stature but was large on life. A devoted loving mother and wife she gave every ounce of herself to her family and lord. Glenda retired 6 years ago from Holt Oil Company and Civil Service as a secretary. She loved shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.
Preceded in death by twin sister Brenda Bullington Smith and brother Eddie Bullington. Left to Cherish her memories are her son Joey Owen and wife Paige of Dunn, NC, mother Naomi Bullington of Fayetteville,NC, brothers Gary Bullington and wife Joan of Fayetteville, NC, Jed Bullington and wife Jackie of Raleigh, NC, nephew Dean Smith and wife Monica of Garland, NC, great nephews Corey and Camden Smith Garland, NC.
There will be a visitation with family on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Covenant Love Church, 420 Dunn Road with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.
