There has been quite a bit of activity this week at Vineyard Golf.
The Thundering Herd found a team winning with an eight-under par. That team was Jake Womble, Stephen Clark, Will Clark and Jeff Fitzgerald. Two other teams shot seven-under. They were: Pam Davis, Jimmy Davis, Blake Davis, Will Fisher and Zack Campbell tied with Ty Wilson, Billy Augustine, Kent Fisher, Chip Venable and Jake Suggs.
Anyone interested in playing in the Thursday Thundering Herd should call the pro shop at 247-6132 before 5:30 p.m.
Two low scores were turned in this week. David Cross, age 77, bettered his age by two strokes when he shot a 75. Steve Godwin fired a one-over 73.
The course is now in pristine shape. As one player said “This should be a $100 a round course. What a bargain you get at Vineyard Golf.”
