WHITEVILLE – East Bladen’s Eagles placed 4th in their Waccamaw Conference golf match Monday behind first-place Whiteville, 2nd place South Columbus and 3th place West Columbus.

Whiteville won their 3rd consecutive Waccamaw match with a 351 total and finished 50 strokes ahead of South Columbus’ 401. West Columbus posted a 434 total that was 6 strokes better than East Bladen’s 440. Heide Trask shot a 461. East Columbus only 2 golfers competing and did not qualify for the team competition.

Wolfpack golfer Marc Rich captured medalist honors with an 83 to finish ahead of teammates Colby Hooks (86) and Price Wheatley (87).

Connor Smith shot a 107 to lead the East Bladen golfers. Other Eagle golfers competing included: Tony Todd (110), Henry Simmons (111) and Zac Metz (112).

Next week’s Waccamaw match is scheduled for Vineland Country Club in Whiteville.
