DUNN – Medalist Logan Atkins fired a 71 and teammate Kaison Marley posted an 80 to lead Midway to a 1st place finish in the opening match of the Southeastern Athletic Conference season Monday at Sandy Ridge Country Club.
The Raiders’ winning total was 319. East Bladen took 2nd place with a 360 score, while West Bladen’s 371 followed 3rd place Clinton by one stroke. Fairmont was 5th with a 394 total, and Red Springs carded a 424.
East Bladen’s Bailey Williams captured 3rd place in the individual scoring with an 81. West Bladen’s Isaac Mendoza tied for 8th place with an 88, and teammate Daniel Gustafson carded an 89 to take 10th place.
Chase Knight, Caleb Scruggins and Tony Todd all carded 93’s for the Eagles, and teammate Conner Smith had a 109. West Bladen’s Colin Britt also shot a 93. Teammate Trenton Meares finished with a 101, and Nolan Sessoms had a 102.
The next SAC-7 match is Monday at Scothurst in Lumber Bridge.
