The “Whack Smack It” Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled Friday, June 2 at Vineyard Golf at White Lake with a noon shotgun start.
The event will raise funds for the Jim and Sue Schultz Foundation. Proceeds will benefit East Bladen High School and West Bladen High Schools athletic programs and the Elizabethtown Dixie Youth Baseball program.
The couple died May 24, 2022 in a vehicle accident near Bristol, Virginia. Both were avid supporters of athletics in Bladen County. Their children and grandchildren played at both high schools. Jim coached at various levels.
Entry fee for the four-player Captain’s Choice format is $60 per person, which includes one mulligan, lunch from 10:30-11:50 a.m., dinner and prizes. For questions or information, call 910-840-0664.
