CLINTON – For the 3rd consecutive week, West Bladen’s Knights placed 3rd in their Southeastern Athletic Conference golf match Monday behind first-place Midway and 2nd place Clinton.

Midway finished 20 strokes ahead of Clinton with a 325 total. Clinton recorded a 345, and West Bladen was 9 strokes behind the Dark Horses with a 354 total. Fairmont edged St. Pauls for 4th place with a 399 compared to St. Pauls’ 400. Red Springs only had 3 golfers competing and did not qualify for the team competition.

Midway’s Kaison Marley captured medalist honors for the 2nd time in 3 weeks with a 72. Raider teammate Jonathan Stephenson finished 2nd with a 77, and last week’s medalist Finn Howard of Clinton took 3rd place with a 78.

West Bladen’s Colin Britt fired an 86 to tie Midway’s Dakota Bedard for 6th place. The Knights Nolan Sessoms placed 8th with an 87, and Daniel Gustafson was 9th with an 88. Other Knight golfers and their scores were: Seth Faircloth (93) and Chason Harris (93).

Fairmont will host Monday’s SAC match.
