ELIZABETHTOWN – West Bladen senior Daniel Gustafson fired a 77 Monday to win medalist honors for the Southeastern Athletic Conference golf match at Vineyard Golf at White Lake. Midway won team honors with a 326 total. West Bladen captured 2nd place with a 345 total followed by Clinton with a 348.
Midway’s Dakota Bedard carded a 79 to finish 2 shots behind Gustafson. Raider teammates Kaison Marley (81) and Jonathan Stephenson (82) placed 3rd and 4th. West Bladen’s Colin Britt shot an 86 to finish in 9th place.
Other West Bladen golfers and their scores were: Ben Davis (90), Nolan Sessoms (92) and Seth Faircloth (97).
Three SAC teams – Midway, West Bladen and Clinton – qualified for the Class 2A Regionals that will be played Monday, May 6th at The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club and will be hosted by Seaforth High School.
