Kemp also dished out 5 assists and collected 3 steals as the Lady Braves won for the fifth time in their last seven games and improved to 6-10 overall and 4-5 in the Peach Belt Conference.
Two free throws and a lay-up by Kemp kept the Lady Braves within 12-6 early, but the Lady Lakers rode a 14-1 spurt to a 26-7 lead.
Kemp fired in a three more jump shots and a pair of free throws to finish the first half with 12 points, but Clayton State maintained a 41-24 halftime lead.
The East Bladen grad ignited a 20-2 Lady Brave blitz with a jump shot, then capped the run with another jumper and two more free throws that whittled the Lady Laker lead to 48-47 10:04 left to play.
Kemp dropped in a lay-up with 4:41 on the clock to push the UNC-P lead to 56-53, then stole the ball and raced for another lay-up and a 60-55 lead with 2:27 remaining.
The Lady Braves travel to Americus, GA Saturday to play Georgia Southwestern in a 1:30 p.m. game.
