BLADENBORO – Grayson Skipper pitched a 4-hit shutout Wednesday to lead North Brunswick to a 3-0 non-conference junior varsity baseball victory over West Bladen. Skipper walked 1 and struck out 2.

Lefthander Tyler Lewis worked 5 innings on the mound for the Knights and allowed 3 runs – 1 earned – on 3 hits and 7 walks while striking out 5. Greyson Freeman pitched 2 innings of scoreless, hitless relief, walked 1 and struck out 3.

Three walks surrounded a bunt single and produced a Scorpion run in the 2nd inning. Skipper’s 1-out single, a hit batter, Justin Evans’ sacrifice fly and 2 West errors plated 2 more North runs in the 3rd inning.

Lewis, Ryan Dove, Kaleb Gaddy and Keon Whittington connected for 1 hit each for the Knights. Skipper, Matthew Wittofsky and Tyler Kelly smacked 1 hit each for North. Skipper and Gabe Camacho drove in runs. Skipper, Kelly and Evans scored runs.

West Bladen, now 1-2-1, will travel to South Columbus Monday.
