Pender defeated East Bladen 10-6 Tuesday in Four County Conference junior varsity baseball action at East.
The Eagles scored a run in the first inning as Devan Stocks cracked a single and scored when Xavier Wooten belted a single.
East Bladen scored five runs in the third inning. Pitcher Quinton Bedsole walked and came around to score when Stocks walloped a triple. Catcher B. J. Robinson knocked in Stocks with a single.
Thirdbaseman Tanner Meares slammed a double to drive in Robinson, and freshman Ty Watkins hammered a triple to drive in Meares. Shortstop Daniel Elkins smacked a single to drive in Watkins.
Elkins batted a perfect 3-3 with a run batted in. Stocks finished 3-4 at the plate with a triple, 2 runs scored and an rbi. Wooten batted 2-4 with an rbi.
Watkins clubbed the rbi triple and scored a run. Meares smashed the rbi double and scored a run. Robinson drove in a run with a single and scored a run.
The Eagle jayvees are now 4-5 in the league and 6-6-1 overall.
