BLADENBORO – Fairmont rallied from a 17-7 halftime deficit to defeat West Bladen 36-27 Tuesday in Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee boys basketball action.

The Golden Tornadoes won the game at the foul line making 11 of 16 free throws in the 2nd half and 13 of 20 for the game. West Bladen made 2 of their 6 foul shots for the game and only attempted 1 free throw in the 2nd half.

K. Fillmore scored all 10 of his points for Fairmont in the 2nd half. Johnson followed with 7 points, and J. Briston tallied 6 points.

Cade Allen tossed in a basket in every quarter and added 1 free throw to lead the Knights with 9 points. Teammate Elijah McCollum threw in a basket in every period and finished with 8 points. Charles Williams drained a 3-point shot and another basket in the opening quarter as West Bladen raced to a 10-3 lead. Noah Hall also scored 5 points for the Knights.

The Knights, now 1-2 in the SAC-7 and 4-6 overall, will travel to Red Springs Friday. Fairmont remained undefeated in SAC-7 play at 4-0 and is 8-2 overall. The Tornadoes are at East Bladen Friday night.
