HARRELLS – Jerry Davis poured in 14 of his game-high 25 points in the 1st half to lead Harrells Christian to a 20-8 lead en route to a 42-27 middle school boys basketball victory over Emereau Bladen Tuesday night.
Jayce Hatcher and Landyn Scott pumped in 2 baskets each in the opening half to account for all the Aviator points. Hatcher threw in 2 baskets and a free throw in the 3rd quarter, and Scott and Tyler Eason added a basket each, but Davis rang up 7 more points to grow the Crusader lead to 33-17.
Hatcher fired in 6 of his team-high 15 points for Emereau Bladen in the final quarter. Markus Bass and Gaston Russ tossed in a basket each for the Aviators in the period. Scott followed Hatcher on the Emereau scoring list with 6 points.
