WHITEVILLE – Caleb Johnson poured in 25 points Friday to lead Whiteville to a 43-25 non-conference junior varsity boys’ basketball victory over East Bladen.

Johnson drained a pair of 3-point shots and racked up 14 of his points in the opening half as the Wolfpack built a 22-10 lead.

Peyton Tatum pumped in a basket and 2 free throws, and Shannon Hankins buried a 3-point shot to keep the Eagles within 12-7 at the 1st quarter break. Hankins nailed a trio of 3-point shots in the 2nd half and led East Bladen with 12 points. Tatum and Rodney Lacewell finished with 4 points each.

The Eagles, now 2-2, will host South Columbus Friday.
