DUNN – Midway’s jayvees pulled away with a trio of 2nd half goals and defeated West Bladen 5-2 Wednesday in Southeastern Athletic Conference boys’ soccer action.
Sophomore Kevin Rojas-Rojas fired in both Knight goals – one in each half. Rojas-Rojas launched 8 shots and came up with 6 steals. Freshman Cristian Rodriguez-Gonzalez finished with 3 shots and 5 steals.
Sophomore Gerson Verdugo-Romero took 1 shot and had 4 steals. Freshmen Amine Mahdi and Uziel Ramirez-Sanchez, Luis Garcia-Sanchez, Carlos Gonzalez Flores and John Randy Reyes-Garcia all finished with 3 steals each.
The Knights, now 0-2 in SAC-6 play and 2-5-1 overall, are slated to host South Columbus Thursday night.
