BLADENBORO – Enrique Rodriguez-Gonzalez fired in a goal and dished out 2 assists Thursday to lead West Bladen to a 3-0 non-conference jayvee boys’ soccer victory over Heide Trask.
Diego Santos-Hernandez and Kevin Rojas-Rojas banged in the other Knight goals off of Rodriguez-Gonzalez assists. West led 2-0 at halftime.
Freshman Noah German recorded the shutout in goal for the Knights and was credited with 8 saves. James Vasquez sparked the West defense with 7 steals. Six other Knights – Amine Mahdi, Rojas-Rojas, Rodriguez-Gonzalez, Gerson Verdugo-Roblero, Alexis Villegas-Rodriguez and John Randy Reyes-Garcia- had 3 steals each.
Coach Kristen Parker’s Knight jayvees evened their record at 1-1.
