LAKE WACCAMAW – Four different players scored goals as West Bladen rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat East Columbus 4-3 Thursday in non-conference jayvee boys’ soccer action.
Sophomores Paiton Bordeaux and Gerson Verdugo-Roblero, freshman Cristian Rodriguez-Gonzalez, and Shandell Gonzalez scored 2nd half goals for the Knights.
Enrique Rodriguez-Gonzalez launched 2 shots on goal, and Kevin Rojas-Rojas and Luis Garcia-Sanchez also had shots on goal for West.
Carlos Gonzalez Flores, Enrique Rodriguez-Gonzalez and John Randy Reyes-Garcia led the West defense with 3 steals each. Michael Reyes Maldonado and Uziel Ramirez-Sanchez had 2 steals each. Dylan Hernandez recorded the victory in goal and was credited with 4 saves.
Coach Kristen Parker’s JV Knights evened their record at 2-2 and will host Pender Thursday at 4:30.
