RED SPRINGS – Sophomore Kevin Rojas-Rojas blistered the nets with a ‘Hat Trick plus one’ of 4 goals Monday to lead West Bladen’s jayvees to a 5-2 Southeastern Athletic Conference boys’ soccer victory over Red Springs.
Rojas-Rojas connected on 4 of his 5 shots on goal and had 4 steals. Freshman Cristian Rodriguez Gonzalez scored the other Knight goal, fired off 5 shots on goal, assisted on 1 of the Rojas-Rojas goals and also collected 4 steals.
Sophomore Gerson Verdugo-Roblero distributed 2 assists for West and added 2 shots and 2 steals. Sophomore Jennsen Martinez had 1 assist and 3 steals. Sophomore Miles Bullard finished with 4 steals, and Luis Garcia-Sanchez, Carlos Gonzalez Flores, freshman Uziel Ramirez-Sanchez, John Randy Reyes-Garcia and Shandell Gonzalez contributed 3 steals each.
Freshman Noah German posted the victory in goal and finished with 7 saves.
The West Bladen jayvees, now 1-3 in the SAC-6 and 3-8-1 overall, will travel to Clinton Wednesday night.
