TABOR CITY – Sophomore Robert McKoy ran for over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns Thursday night to lead East Bladen to a 42-22 Three Rivers Conference jayvee football victory over South Columbus.

McKoy raced 60 yards for the first Eagle touchdown then dashed 50 for another touchdown later in the game.

Sophomore Cory Ballard ran 5 yards for an Eagle touchdown and also ran a 2-point conversion. Ballard later hauled in a 20-yard halfback pass from freshman Javius Brooks for another touchdown. Brooks also scored a 2-point conversion.

Sophomore Nazire Smith caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from freshman quarterback Jacob Nixon. Freshman Lafon Monroe darted 10 yards for another Eagle touchdown, and sophomore Zavarion Palmer carried into the end zone for a 2-point conversion.

Coach Ritchie Priest’s Eagles evened their league record at 1-1 and are 2-2 overall. East Bladen will host Red Springs next Thursday.
