Xavier Wooten and James Higgins combined to run for six touchdowns to lead the East Bladen jayvee Eagles to a 44-8 Four County Conference victory over Heide Trask at East Thursday night.

Wooten broke loose on the first play from scrimmage and galloped 60 yards for a touchdown. On the next Eagle possession, Higgins raced 50 yards for a touchdown. It was Wooten’s turn to run to pay dirt on the next East Bladen possession.

The Eagles tacked on another touchdown and led 28-0, before the Titans recovered a fumble at the East Bladen ten yardline late in the half. A touchdown pass on the last play of the half produced the Trask touchdown, and the 2-point conversion made it 28-8.

Wooten, a sophmore, finished with 4 touchdowns in the game. Higgins ran for two more touchdowns.

Coach Ritchie Priest’s Eagles remained undefeated with a 7-0 record and will travel to play unbeaten Wallace-Rose Hill Thursday.
