DUBLIN – Sophomore Kerron Washington and freshman Da’Shawn Hines scored 3 touchdowns each Wednesday night to lead West Bladen to a 40-0 Four County Conference jayvee football victory over Heide Trask.
The versatile Washington moved from tailback to quarterback due to an injury and ran for 3 touchdowns. Washington also threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Aldo Hernandez just before halftime.
Hines played the entire game at tailback and rushed for 3 touchdowns. Hines also ran for a pair of 2-point conversions.
“The offensive line was much improved tonight,” said Knight Coach Kris Williams. “Shemaiah Leak rolled up quite a few rushing yards as well. The defense played a near perfect game pitching the shutout. Coach (John) Ammons and I were extremely proud of the way the team performed tonight.”
