St. Pauls 18, East Bladen 16
ST PAULS – St. Pauls held off East Bladen 18-16 Tuesday in Three Rivers Conference jayvee girls basketball action.
LaKendra Jones tossed in a basket and a free throw, and Lavada Jackson sank a free throw to keep East Bladen within 7-4 in the first quarter. Sara Gargala threw in 2 baskets in the second period as the Lady Eagles tied the score 8-8 at halftime.
St. Pauls opened up a 14-10 lead in the third quarter. Lily Lin scored the only East Bladen basket in the period.
Shanell McMillian pumped in two baskets in the final quarter, and Aaniyah Jackson added a basket, but the Lady Bulldogs scored 4 points in the period to get the win.
McMillian and Gargala shared scoring honors for East Bladen with 4 points each.
The East Bladen jayvees will visit East Columbus Friday.
