ROCKY POINT – Heide Trask defeated West Bladen 2-0 Monday in non-conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 25-16 and 25-15.
Tah’lea Bethea pounded in 5 attacks, 5 kills and 4 blocks for West. Sophomore Kali Allen handed out 2 assists and tallied 4 service points. Kimberly Dowless banged in 3 service points including an ace and had an assist.
Lady Knight freshman Ellie Kinlaw drilled in 4 service points including an ace, 2 attacks and 2 kills. Shanna Lewis knocked in 2 service points, 2 attacks and 2 kills.
Helaina Conklin and Karlee Gause fired in 2 service points each, and Gause had 1 assist. Sophomore Jahyra Priest and Makenna Thurman had 1 attack each, and Priest spiked in a kill.
The Lady Knight jayvees now 7-4, will open Southeastern Athletic Conference play Thursday night when they host Clinton.
