DUNN – Midway defeated West Bladen 2-0 Tuesday by identical set scores of 25-14 and 25-14 in Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee volleyball action.
Tah’lea Bethea keyed the West offense with 7 attacks, 4 kills and a block. Sophomore Kali Allen distributed 4 assists and had 1 dig. Helaina Conklin drilled in 4 service points including an ace, 4 attacks and a kill. Sophomore Brenna Hester knocked in 2 service points. Jahyra Priest slapped in 3 attacks and a kill.
Lady Knight freshman Ellie Kinlaw swatted in 8 attacks, 2 kills and a service point. Sophomore Makenna Thurman battered the defense with 13 attacks, 2 kills and a service point. Kimberly Dowless handed out 2 assists and added a service point and 3 attacks. Shanna Lewis fired in 6 attacks and 2 kills.
West Bladen, now 1-1 in the SAC-6 and 9-5 overall, will host St. Pauls Thursday.
