A service point from Atkins and 2 more from Potter kept East ahead 22-19. Kenzley Fowler scored a pair of service points, before Brianna Price served out the set for the Lady Stallions.

Fowler’s 5-point service run pushed South ahead 9-3 in Set 2. Nixon rallied East with a pair of service points, but Lacy Worley reeled off 7 more service points as South took an 18-6 lead.

Martin led the East servers with 8 points, and Atkins finished with 7 service points. Nixon, Potter and Dowless smacked in 3 service points each.

“They (South) were very good at reading the other team and making those big plays,” said East Coach Jessica Eason. “We hung with them really well the first set, but then I think we got in our own heads a little bit in the second set.”
