TABOR CITY — South Columbus defeated West Bladen 2-0 Monday by set scores of 25-15 and 25-21 in the non-conference junior varsity volleyball opener for both teams.

Freshman Ellie Kinlaw slammed in 6 kills and had 13 attacks and a service point to lead the Lady Knights. Tahlela Bethea hammered in 5 kills, a block and had 13 attacks. Kali Allen fired in 5 service points and had an attack.

Kimberly Dowless knocked in 4 kills, a block and had 4 attacks. Jahyra Priest tallied 2 service points, a kill and had 3 attacks. Brenna Hester contributed 2 digs and a service point.

Helaina Conklin banged in an ace and a kill and had 2 attacks. Karlee Gause drilled in an ace, a kill, a service point and had 2 attacks. Makenna Thurman had 3 attacks.

The Lady Knight jayvees will host West Columbus Tuesday at 4:30.
