BLADENBORO – Tah’lea Bethea and Ellie Kinlaw combined for 19 kills Monday to lead West Bladen to a 2-0 non-conference junior varsity volleyball victory over Heide Trask by set scores of 25-17 and 25-10.
Bethea slammed in 10 kills, a block and had 18 attacks. Kinlaw hammered in 9 kills, 2 aces, 2 service points, a block and had 9 attacks. Kimberly Dowless dished out 6 assists and had a service point and an assist.
Kali Allen racked up 12 service points including 7 aces and had a dig for West. Shanna Lewis fired in 6 service points including an ace and had 2 attacks. Brenna Hester knocked in 3 service points including 1 ace.
Makenna Thurman drilled in an ace, a kill, another service point and had 2 attacks for the Lady Knights. Helaina Conklin smashed in an ace and had 2 attacks. Karlee Gause had 3 attacks, and Jayhyra Priest had 2 attacks.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights, now 3-1, will host East Bladen Wednesday at 4:30.
