ROSEBORO – ROSEBORO – West Bladen defeated Lakewood 2-0 Monday night in non-conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 25-12 and 25-7.
Kimberly Dowless headlined the West attack with 11 service points including an ace, 2 kills and 6 assists. Tah’lea Bethea hammered in 7 kills and a block. Sophomore Jahyra Priest lit up the scoreboard with 9 service points including an ace. Karlee Gause smashed in 3 service points including an ace and a kill.
Sophomore Kali Allen rang up 8 service points including 4 service points and had 2 assists and a dig for the winners. Freshman Ellie Kinlaw pounded in 5 kills and 3 service points including an ace. Makenna Thurman slammed in 3 service points and a kill. Helaina Conklin and Shanna Lewis spiked in 1 kill each.
Coach Kaitlin Sykes’ Lady Knights raised their record to 9-4 and will visit Midway Tuesday night.
