Kayla Thompson, a graduate of West Bladen High School and UNC Wilmington, continues to play well on the ladies professional golf tour.
Thompson tied for 24th in this week’s Kathy Whitworth Paris Championship held in Paris, Texas. The tournament was a 72 hole event with the cut being made after 54 holes. Thompson shot 71-73-68-71=283, which was 3 over par. She earned $515.
The winner was LPGA player Celine Boutier who shot 273 (-7). Over 80 ladies participated in the tournament.
