The Kiwanis of Elizabethtown/Bladen County awards scholarships each year to graduating seniors at East Bladen High School and West Bladen High School and the Bladen County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship. This year the scholarship recipients are Hunter Pait and Jarrett Williams, who both graduated from West Bladen High School, and Destiny Baker and Emily Barnes, who both graduated from East Bladen High School. Sean Nunnery, who graduated from West Bladen High School, was awarded the Bladen County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarship.

The graduates received their scholarships at the Kiwanis meeting on June 20, 2017, at San Jose Restaurant. The graduates brought their families and enjoyed a great meal with the Kiwanis members.
