BOLIVIA – East Bladen grad Kyle Tatum knocked in 4 runs with 4 hits Saturday to lead his Brunswick Community College Dolphins to a Region X baseball double-header sweep of Guilford Technical Community College by scores of 13-8 and 11-5.

In Saturday’s 13-8 opening game win, Tatum walloped a double and a single, scored twice and drove in 2 runs. In Brunswick’s 11-5 victory in the nightcap, the sophmore outfielder batted 2-3 with 2 runs batted in and a run scored.

On April 6th Tatum batted 2-5 with a double and 2 rbi’s in a 6-1 win over Wake Technical Community College. The Elizabethtown native hammered a double and scored a run in a 12-6 victory over Louisburg on April 3rd.

Tatum is batting .326 on the season with 31 hits, 28 runs scored, 5 doubles and 21 rbi’s. The 28 runs scored is the second-most on the Dolphins team, and Tatum has posted teams-highs in triples (3) and stolen bases (18). His on-base percentage is .449 and he has a .474 slugging percentage.

The Dolphins lead the Region X standings with a 20-4 record and own a 30-7 overall mark.
