ATLANTA – Former East Bladen star Larrell Murchison was credited with 3 tackles Friday night as his Tennessee Titans rolled to a 23-3 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in their preseason opener.
Murchison had 1 solo tackle and assisted on 2 other tackles as the Titan defense limited the Falcons to a single field goal.
Chester Rogers returned a punt 56 yards to set up the first of 2 Tucker McCann field goals for Tennessee. Quarterback Logan Woodside threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Cameron Batson for an early 10-0 lead, and quarterback Matt Barkley tossed a 12-yard touchdown pass to Miller Forristall in the 4th quarter.
Quarterback Ryan Tannebaum, star running back Derrick Henry and some other starters did not make the trip to Atlanta for the exhibition game.
