Health Grades
Spread the love

By Cheryl Thurston

Hello everyone in Bladen County. Did your favorite team win in the DYB tournament? Talk about the boys of summer; who doesn’t love a good baseball game? But before we get ready for the busy back-to-school season, let’s not forget that summer isn’t really over yet. We still have about 6 more weeks for some fun in the sun so, enjoy.

I couldn’t resist squeezing some sand between my toes in July, and judging by the crowds I saw, I’m not alone. I have loved the beaches in NC for a long time, and though I didn’t go sailing or surfing, there’s just something about sitting on a sandy shore and staring at the horizon that makes me feel truly grateful to be alive.

And speaking of things I’m grateful for, let me include the fine folks at our public Health Departments. They work hard to keep us safe and informed by inspecting the restaurants, day care centers, hotel & resort kitchens, meat markets and summer camps we depend on for some of our summer fun. Check out the list below to view the sanitation grades awarded to the facilities which were inspected in July. And as always, Bon Appetite.
