Spread the love

Mary Kay Beauty Consultants have been leading the way in class and beauty for decades. Two local beauty business leaders, Martha Warner, and Stacie Kinlaw, also set the bar high, shining the light for community service.

On Thursday, February 12, 2021 the duo set out to give back by donating over 75 Valentine’s Day gifts to the Elizabethtown Health and Rehabilitation Center residents and staff.

Mrs. Warner and Mrs. Kinlaw presented the gifts to the residents and staff under their carport outside the Elizabethtown facility.

“We were the coordinators of this project, but with any project, it takes a lot of teamwork,” Mrs. Warner started out with her presentation of the gifts.

She explained, “The founder of our company, Mary Kay, believed in the Gold Rule, and she challenged us always to serve and to improve the lives of women and children around the world.”

“With Valentine’s Day being near, what better time to show love, so that’s why we are here. Three things last forever, faith, hope, and love,” Mrs. Warner continued. “These residents need love, and as workers, you need love too. You risk your own life to help others, so we have gifts for all of you.”

Mrs. Kinlaw read a prayer provided by Pastor Shannon Ross over the gifts before they were collected by the Activities Director, Myra McDowell of the Elizabethtown center.

Ms. McDowell thanked the Mary Kay representatives for taking the time to put the project together.

“We will definitely enjoy them, and thank you on behalf of Elizabethtown Health and Rehab,” Ms. McDowell said.

She gave kudos to Giorgios Restaurant and Pizza and Giorgios Boussias for being their Cupid Sponsor.
