ELIZABETHTOWN – Kendell Lesane and Ashton Davis combined for 21 points Thursday night to lead unbeaten Bladenboro to a 30-11 non-conference boys basketball victory over Elizabethtown.

Kendell Lesane topped all scorers with 12 points, and Davis followed with 9 points. Jaden Lewis led the Cougars with 6 points, and John Monroe added 3 points.

Davis fired in 3 baskets and a free throw in the opening period as the Bulldogs raced to a 12-2 lead. Kendell Lesane and Jaquan Lesane tossed in a basket each, and Sincere McKinley netted a free throw. Lewis scored the Elizabethtown basket.

Kendell Lesane worked the paint for 2 baskets in the 2nd quarter, and Keonta Hill pumped in a basket as the Bulldog lead grew to 18-7 at halftime. Monroe popped in a basket and a free throw for the Cougars, and Kaden Johnson pumped in a basket.

Two more baskets from Kendell Lesane and a basket from Davis stretched the Bladenboro lead to 24-9. Lewis rang up a basket for the Cougars. Kendell Lesane, John McDowell and Blake Britt scored Bulldog baskets in the final period, and Lewis answered with a bucket for Elizabethtown.

Coach Joe Gore’s Bulldogs pushed their unbeaten record to 10-0 and will travel to Clarkton School of Discovery Tuesday. Elizabethtown, now 2-8, will host Tar Heel Tuesday.
