CLARKTON – Omar Powell and Salvador Gonzales scored 1st half goals as Clarkton School of Discovery claimed their first boys’ soccer victory of the season 2-0 over East Columbus Wednesday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference action.
Powell opened the Blue Devil scoring, before Gonzales drilled in a penalty kick to pad the lead to 2-0. Atreyu Ringer posted the shutout in goal for Clarkton and was credited with 5 saves.
Coach Robert Mazur’s Blue Devils, now 1-3, will host West Columbus Monday.
