NAKINA – Nakina scored the deciding goal 15 minutes into the 2nd half and edged Bladenboro 2-1 Thursday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference boys’ soccer action.

A goal in the 5th minute of play gave the Mustangs a 1-0 halftime lead. Bladenboro’s Dionel Herdnimo-Deleon banged in the tying goal 14 minutes into the 2nd half. The Mustangs answered a minute later to go back on top.

“We played better, but not good enough to win,” said Bladenboro Assistant Coach Otis Evans.

The Bulldogs, now 0-2, will host Williams Township Monday.
