ELIZABETHTOWN – Whiteville Central defeated Elizabethtown 50-14 Thursday night in a battle of unbeaten Waccamaw Middle School Conference football teams.
Jayden Lewis popped free and raced 40 yards for a Cougar touchdown in the 2nd quarter, and Jayden Byrd ran the 2-point conversion. Lewis returned a Hornet kickoff 70 yards for an Elizabethtown touchdown in the 3rd period.
Elizabethtown, now 2-1, will travel to South Columbus Tuesday night. Central improves to 3-0 and will visit Clarkton School of Discovery Tuesday night.
