ELIZABETHTOWN — Kelsey fired in 14 points Tuesday to lead Riverside Christian to a 23-17 girls’ basketball victory over Emereau Bladen.
Kelsey sparked Riverside to a 6-3 early lead with 5 points and added 4 more during a 12-2 3rd quarter spurt that broke the game open.
Bristol Allen popped in a pair of 1st half baskets for the Lady Aviators. Keri Faye Burgess tossed in a basket, and Bella Beard added a free throw to keep Emereau within 8-7 at halftime.
Mollie Sasser tossed in a pair of 2nd half baskets for Emereau. Anna Robinson pumped in a basket, and K. Bethea made 2 free throws. Beard and Burgess made one foul shot each in the final period.
Allen and Sasser led the Lady Aviator scoring with 4 points each, and Burgess finished with 3 points.
