ELIZABETHTOWN — Mark’kus Bass tossed in a basket, and Lakota Schmale sank 2 free throws to break an 18-18 tie and lift Emereau Bladen to a 22-19 middle school boys’ basketball victory over Riverside Christian Tuesday night.
Joel Lewis threw in a pair of baskets, and Cyncere Jessup popped in a basket and a free throw as the Aviators took an early 8-4 lead. Jayden McKoy sank a free throw in the period.
Braiden Dixon drilled in a 3-point shot and another basket in the 2nd quarter, and Schmale dropped in a basket to keep Emereau on top 15-12 at halftime. Dixon buried another 3-point shot in the 3rd period, but the visitors managed to pull even at 18-18.
Dixon topped the Aviator scoring with 8 points. Lewis and Schmale totaled 4 points each. Kendrick E. and Braxton W. led the visitors with 6 points each.
