TAR HEEL – Skylah Collins pumped in 11 points, and Demya Powell and Valaisha Murchison scored 8 points each to lead West Columbus to a 33-9 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ basketball victory over Tar Heel Thursday.
Amiracle Robinson and ZaAsia Lewis tossed in baskets in the 1st half for the Lady Panthers. Lewis who led the Tar Heel scoring with 4 points powered in another basket in the 3rd period. Teammate Jessenia Labra sank a free throw, and Leyla Flores popped in a 4th quarter basket.
It was the first conference game for Tar Heel. The Lady Panthers, now 0-3, will travel to Whiteville Central Tuesday.
