NAKINA — McKenzie Spivey and Jayda Williams combined for 18 points Monday to lead Williams Township to a 28-15 Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ basketball victory over Tar Heel.

The Lady Panthers, now 0-9, will travel to Elizabethtown Tuesday. Williams improved to 2-9 overall.

Spivey finished with 11 points, and Williams tallied 7 points for the Lady Aggies. Teammate Kasey Cribb netted 4 points. Abigail Dew fired in a trio of baskets and led Tar Heel with 6 points. Teammate Serenity Council nailed a 3-point shot and another basket to finish with 5 points.

The game was played at Nakina Middle School because the floor at Williams Township is unplayable.
