CLARKTON – Clarkton School of Discovery’s Lady Blue Devils posted their 1st victory of the season Tuesday after a pair of close losses. Aliah Jacobs fired in 2 goals to lead Clarkton to a 4-1 Waccamaw Conference girls’ soccer victory over Elizabethtown.
Coach Elizabeth Priest’s Lady Blue Devils had lost in a shootout to Tar Heel and by a single goal to a 2-1 Nakina team. Tuesday Imani Bowen and Rahnyia McLean supported Jacobs’ effort by scoring 1 goal each. Kaitlyn Chambers drilled in the Lady Cougar goal.
Clarkton, now 1-2, will host East Columbus Wednesday. Elizabethtown, also 1-2, will entertain Whiteville Wednesday.
