TABOR CITY – Tabor City defeated Tar Heel 2-0 Thursday in their final Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ soccer game of the season.
Despite the loss Coach Brett Jackson’s Tar Heel squad still tied Williams Township for 1st place in the Waccamaw’s A Division standings with identical 3-1 records. However Tar Heel defeated Williams in a PK shootout earlier in the season and would own the tiebreaker if one is used.
The Lady Panthers, now 6-3, will host Columbus Charter Monday in a non-conference game.
