TAR HEEL– Giselle Lara knocked in the deciding goal for Tar Heel Thursday after their penalty kick shootout with Williams Township went into sudden-death. The teams were knotted 3-3 after one shootout round and 0-0 after regulation play.
After Lara scored for Tar Heel, goalie Abigail Dew blocked the Williams attempt at tying the game again. Dew recorded a shutout in regulation play in this Waccamaw Middle School Conference girls’ soccer game.
Angelina Rodriguez, Ashley Sandoval and Rut Garcia drilled in their penalty kicks in the 1st round of the shootout for the Lady Panthers.
Coach Brett Jackson’s Lady Panthers raised their record to 3-1 and will travel to East Columbus Tuesday.
