BLADENBORO – West Bladen swept St. Pauls 2-0 Thursday in Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee volleyball action Thursday by set scores of 25-13 and 25-21.
Tah’lea Bethea worked the net for 7 attacks, 4 kills and a block for West. Helaina Conklin fired in 4 service points including 1 ace, 4 attacks and a kill. Sophomore Makenna Thurman knocked in 13 attacks, 2 kills and a service point.
Sophomore Kali Allen passed out 4 assists and had 1 dig for the Lady Knights. Freshman Ellie Kinlaw smashed in 8 attacks, 2 kills and a service point. Kimberly Dowless contributed 2 assists, 3 attacks and a service point.
West sophomore Brenna Hester rang up 2 service points. Shanna Lewis pounded in 6 attacks and 2 kills, and sophomore Jahyra Priest finished with 3 attacks and a kill.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knight jayvees improved to 2-1 in SAC-6 play and 10-5 overall, will entertain Fairmont Tuesday.
