Tar Heel 3, Elizabethtown 1
Tar Heel picked up their second win of the season Monday night with a 3-1 victory over Elizabethtown in Bladen Five Middle School Conference Soccer action at County Park.
Jacob Lopez opened the scoring for Tar Heel, and teammate Brian Molina scored the second goal for the Panthers. Brandon Labra tacked on an insurance goal for the winners.
“We came out flat to start the game,” said Tar Heel Coach Christopher Wagoner. “But we picked up the intensity as the game went on.”
Tar Heel improved to 2-0 on the season with the victory.
Victor Garcia scored the only goal for Elizabethtown.
