BLADENBORO – Allison Hickman pitched a no-hitter and struck out 5 to lead Bladenboro to a 16-1 non-conference middle school victory over Elizabethtown Wednesday.

Addison Wilcox blasted a 3-run home run to center field to highlight a 13-run 1st inning for the Lady Bulldogs. Wilcox also reached on an error, was hit by a pitch and scored 3 runs.

Allison Hickman cracked a 3rd inning single, walked, reached base on an error and scored 3 runs. Karlee Gause belted a 1st inning single, walked, was hit by a pitch and scored 1 run for Bladenboro. Teammate Leea Wilkins walked twice and scored twice.

Kali Allen walked, was hit by a pitch and scored twice for the Lady Bulldogs. Abbie Hickman walked twice and scored twice. Natalee Sykes and Jaylen Clark both walked and both scored runs. Makenna Thurman reached base on an error and scored a run.

Madilyn Franzeo walked to lead off the game and scored the Lady Cougar run. Teammates Ariel Cromartie and Cylee Lugenbill also drew walks. Niyah Wooten pitched for Elizabethtown and struck out 5 batters.

Coach Otis Evans’ Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-0 overall and will host Clarkton School of Discovery Monday. Elizabethtown will host Tar Heel Tuesday.
